  • Therapy is right for you if you believe that self-reflection can lead to greater self-awareness. With that awareness comes the ability to make more intentional choices. Rather than reacting out of habit or emotion, therapy can help you to respond in ways that align more with your values and who you truly are.

It can also be the right path for you if you value connection and believe in the healing power of feeling seen, heard, and understood. Therapy offers a space to explore growth as well as provide clarity, connection and a stronger sense of self.

  • It depends on each person’s needs and goals. Most clients begin by meeting with their therapist once a week, which helps build momentum and consistency. This is especially important in the beginning stages of the treatment.

In some cases, where more intensive support is helpful, sessions may occur twice a week. In others, every other week may be appropriate.

As therapy progresses and a strong foundation is built, sometimes clients transition into a maintenance phase. During this time, sessions might shift to once every 3–4 weeks or take place on an as-needed basis.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that therapy tends to be most effective when it’s consistent, particularly at the beginning of the process.

  • You’re welcome to try a few sessions and see how it feels. If at any point you decide it’s not the right fit, we can simply stop or reassess. There is no formal commitment. What matters most is that you feel comfortable and supported in the therapeutic environment. This process is about what works best for you.

  • Sessions run approximately 55 minutes.

  • As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I do not prescribe medication. However, I work closely with a trusted network of psychiatrists and other medical providers who specialize in medication management. If we determine together that medication might be a helpful part of your treatment plan, I’m happy to provide referrals and collaborate with those professionals to ensure your care is coordinated and aligned with your goals.

  • In some cases I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. This is dependent upon the state in which you live as well as the type of plan.

In most cases I am an out of network provider. I can supply you with a superbill which can be submitted to your insurance if you have out of network benefits. I am happy to walk clients through this process to ensure they are getting the most out of their benefits.
